Queenstown is a place built around action - be it on the slopes, off a bridge or in the bars, there is something to do practically 24/7. However, if you're anything like me then you'll appreciate a bit of downtime on your days away, and there's jut no better way to ease into a holiday than by starting it with a visit to a spa.
Hush Spa is a local favourite, and has recently relocated to the first floor of The Mountaineer at 32 Rees Street. There they offer the best of the signature facials from award-winning beauty brand Dermalogica, as well as added extras like Microdermabrasion, Oxygen and Galvanic therapy and peels, to make your treatment go that much farther.
Delicious body treatments are also recommended by the locals I know who love the place, especially the wraps and Sugar Body Buff. They also offer a signature massage for those that have been overdoing it, called Tension Relief for Skiers/Boarders/Trampers. Focusing mainly on the legs and back, this treatment incorporates generous amounts of hot oil, heated wheat packs and Antiflamme cream, and includes a tub of Antiflamme to take home with you.
If you're more interested in heading out of town though, visit the Spa at Terrace Downs Resort, which is something very spectacular.
