Takatu Lodge's contemporary design incorporates walls of glass to capture stunning views of the vineyard, mountains & sea beyond. Takatu's luxurious boutique accommodation is designed for ultimate privacy and comfort. A sumptuous breakfast with a "slow food" approach and a tasting of Takatu Vineyard's award winning wine is included. A beauty or massage therapist is also available on request for guests.
The lodge is architectural and contemporary in style using natural wood, stone and marble to compliment its surroundings. Walls of glass allow all day sun and capture the stunning views of the surrounding vineyard, mountain ranges and sea beyond. High vaulted timbered ceilings, open log fires, a cosy library and outside landscaped rooms are a few of the many architectural features.
There are four luxurious suites, all with their own terrace and individual outlook. Each suite caters for ultimate indulgence and privacy where optimising nature and natural products is essential. Soak in a double bath of pure rain water surrounded by candles and fused with essential oils while overlooking the vines. Organic juices, handmade chocolate, yoga mats, computer outlets, LCD TVs integrate personal enjoyment with business requirements. Health, beauty and massage therapy is arranged on request.
Only 5 minutes from Matakana village and a 45 minute drive from Auckland city, or 15 minutes by helicopter. Vineyards, cafes, artists, farmers markets and golf courses are all within minutes.
